Careys have secured the Civil Engineering contract from Taylor Woodrow on their £25m project for the first 80 apartment phase of a 250 apartment residential development site in York. This is to carry out the drainage, substructures, superstructure concrete frame and the external works. The scope of works entails the breaking down of 841 piles, a 14,000m2 basement car park and podium slab and 9,500m2 of upper floor slabs. The works included the fixing of 1,250 tonnes of reinforcement and placing 8,000m3 of concrete.
