Wembley Central Redevelopment

Client: St. Modwens and Rotch Group
Duration: 100 Weeks (2 Phases)
Value: £17.23 million

Wembley Central is being regenerated by Sowcrest as part of a £24m joint venture between St. Modwens and Rotch Group.

Careys were awarded a £6.73m shell and core contract for the design and build of new five and eight storey residential blocks. The concrete frame was constructed by our RC Structures Division and provided 4,600m2 of floor space for the 85 shared ownership apartments, whilst the Civil Engineering Division carried out the groundworks. Part of the structure is over a main line Railway Station and involved extensive negotiations with Network Rail. The refurbishment element was to an existing six storey building, now extended to seven floors, and overclad to the same finish as the adjoining new build. Careys are currently working on the next phase with a value of £10.5m.
